  • What does it cost to participate and what does the registration fee include?

    2025 Registration fees:

    • Kinder, 1st & 2nd Flag Football is $80; 7/8th Grade Girls Flag is $120.
    • Tackle Football is $200, with an additional $100 equipment fee that is refunded at the end of the season when equipment is turned in.

    All players will walk away with some Football swag by end of season.


    Your registration fee plays a vital role in supporting the various expenses essential for the smooth operation of our program. These costs encompass practice and game field rentals, fees for officials, insurance, coaching equipment and training, player equipment and certification of gear,  safety education, and player development. In addition to registration fees, we depend on your participation through volunteering and fundraising efforts to fully cover all expenses linked to the program.

  • When does the season start and how long does it last?

    Practices start mid-August and go through the end of October.

    Games start in September and go through the end of October.

  • When and where are practices?

    Flag Football practices are; 

    • 1-2 nights a week
    • 60 minute practice time

    Tackle Football practices are; 

    • 4-5 nights a week
    • 2 hour practice time

    Practices begin mid-August. Practices will be held locally in Longview, WA. Exact location may vary by year and information is shared with parents of players at the start of each season.

  • When do the games begin and when will we know our schedule?

    Games are every Saturday, starting the first Saturday in September, at different times throughout the day. 


    Game times may range from as early as 8 am to as late as 8 pm. 


    Games will take place at various league fields across Cowlitz/Clark County: Longview Memorial Stadium, Schroeder Field (Kelso), Castle Rock High School, Kalama High School, Woodland High School, and LaCenter High School. 


    The regular season schedules are released about 2 week before the first football game.  There are 6 regular season games, followed by 2 weeks of playoff/ championship games.

  • Is tackle football safe for young children?

    We take the safety of our players very seriously. The coaches teach the foundation to tackle correctly and safely with heads up tackling that is standard within our league. All our coaching staff go through extensive training through USA Football on tackle protocol to teach athletes safely.

  • What equipment is provided with registration vs purchased separately?

    The league provides the primary equipment necessary to participate in football. This includes:

    • Helmet
    • Shoulder pads
    • Football pants
    • Game jerseys

    This equipment must be returned in good condition at the end of the season. 


    The following items are not included but are required:

    • Football cleats
    • Practice jerseys
    • Mouth guards

    Football gloves are also recommended, but are not required.
